Privacy policy

We would like to inform you about the purpose, type and scope of the collection, processing and use of personal data on our websites.

When visiting our websites, data is collected, processed and used whereby it is not always possible to rule out a personal reference. In order to display the websites in your browser, the IP address must be determined. Otherwise your browser would not be able to receive any data from this website on your device (e.g. PC, notebook, smartphone). We also use your IP address for geolocation purposes in order to display country-specific content if needed.

As a rule, your IP address is assigned dynamically by your provider. This address often changes regularly so that we cannot trace the IP address back to you personally. In addition to the IP address, other information about data retrieval may be saved in the web server’s protocol file.

This includes information about the following:

- User’s operating system
- User’s browser version
- Name of the retrieved file
- Date and time of retrieval
- Volume of data transferred
- Referring URL

The data saved is only used for statistical and diagnostic purposes. We are not able to regularly trace the data to you personally.

Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are saved onto your hard drive. They are necessary in order to make use of certain functions the service provides. You may adjust the appropriate settings in your browser to prevent cookies from being saved. Please note, however, that by doing this you may not be able to use all of our website’s functions. Cookies do not install or start any programs or other applications on your computer.

Web analysis

This website uses the web analytics service Google Analytics in order to create a “needs-oriented design” of this website. Web analytics also enables us to determine and rectify errors on the website, such as those arising from faulty links. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files that are saved onto your computer in order analyse how the website is used. So-called client IDs are used to create pseudonymous user profiles that collectively gather information on the usage of the websites by a user on a desktop computer or mobile device.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the USA. Because we have activated so-called IP anonymization on this website, Google will first truncate your IP address within the Member States of the European Union or in other states that are party to the agreement within the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to and stored on one of Google’s servers in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address provided by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You may adjust the appropriate settings in your browser to prevent cookies from being saved. Please note, however, that by doing this you may not be able to use all of our website’s functions. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can find more information on the terms of use of Google Analytics as well as the privacy policy at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy.

Use of Facebook social plug-ins

Our website also uses social plug-ins (plug-ins) from the social networking website Facebook.com (Facebook). However, a so-called two-click solution is used. This means that the plug-in will not be active until you activate the “switch” by clicking on it. Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, in the USA. If you visit one of our websites containing this plug-in and activate the plug-in, your browser will establish a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. Facebook will transfer the plug-in content directly to your browser, which will embed it into the website. By embedding the plug-in, Facebook will receive the information that you have retrieved on the corresponding website. If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can associate your website visit with your Facebook account. For more information about the purpose and scope of Facebook’s data collection, processing and use as well as your rights and settings options regarding the protection of your privacy, please see Facebook’s privacy policy: www.facebook.com/policy.php. If you are a member of Facebook and do not want Facebook to gather data about our website and associate it with your membership data, you must first log out of Facebook before visiting our website. It is also possible to block possible Facebook plug-ins with add-ons for your browser, such as with “Facebook Blocker”.
