Flensburg Christmas Market

True to tradition, on Monday, 25 November, in the idyllic setting of the Südermarkt, the Christmas market will be heralded by a festive opening beneath the Christmas pyramid, the Advent landmark of the popular Christmas market. Here, people meet at the nativity scenes for a cosy chat. VIP personalities from politics and society, accompanied by Father Christmas and his heavenly companions, cordially invite all guests to celebrate the official start of the Flensburg Christmas market at 5.00 pm. Together, let us all count down the lighting up of the grand Christmas tree, a fir donated by Fielmann. As always, hopefully, the joy of the event will reach the hearts and souls of every bystander, as we watch the blissful opening of the Christmas season.

The Scandinavian stalls on the Südermarkt, including the "the world‘s smallest bar desk" with its famous Tallin punch and the witch's house, invite visitors to enjoy a cosy Advent stroll. The traditional "Christmas Hygge Mile" stretches from Südermarkt via Holm and Große Straße to Nordermarkt - and finally ends at Willy-Brandt-Platz at the harbour pier. 

In addition to the hustle and bustle of the market, visitors big and small can look forward to a further supporting programme, offering among others, exhibitions, Advent concerts, surprise activities, Christmas city tours, and much more.
